About this site

Overview, features and application details

Parichay is the NIC single sign-on portal for Indian government employees. One Parichay login opens eOffice, eMail, ePrison and other government services tied to your department.

Parichay is the single sign-on (SSO) system run by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) for government employees in India. Instead of a separate username and password for every government application, one Parichay account signs you in to the services your department uses — eOffice, Government eMail, ePrison, eSakshya and a long list of state and central applications.

How Parichay login works

Go to parichay.nic.in and sign in with your Parichay username and password. Most accounts are created by your department's Parichay admin or NIC coordinator when you join, using your official government email ID. After login you land on a dashboard of the applications mapped to your account — click one and you are signed in there too, no second password.

Who can use it

Parichay is for central and state government employees and officials whose departments have onboarded to NIC services. It is not a public registration portal: if you do not already have an account, your office's nodal officer or NIC district/state coordinator creates it for you.

Forgot password and login problems

Use the forgot-password option on the login page — the reset goes to your registered mobile number and official email. The most common login failures are an expired password (Parichay asks you to change it regularly), a locked account after repeated wrong attempts, and OTP delays. Wait a few minutes before retrying a locked account, and contact your department admin if the lock stays.

Parichay on mobile

The Parichay portal works in a mobile browser, and NIC also publishes the Parichay app approach through its service apps such as eOffice and GovMail clients, which sign in with the same Parichay credentials.

APK01 is an independent guide and is not affiliated with NIC or the Government of India. Always sign in only at parichay.nic.in.
